What did you miss?

Joel Dommett has revealed he had to re-shoot his Survivor entry scene when a mishap saw him urinate on the front of his trousers.

The comedian and TV presenter is hosting a reboot of the physical and psychological game, which sees contestants marooned in a tropical location trying to outwit their opponents to be named Sole Survivor.

He confessed that he got into a bit of a pickle when he needed the loo just as he was about to film the start, which shows him sailing in on a boat.

What, how, and why?

Speaking on This Morning, Dommett said: “I got off that boat, this is a funny story.

“Just before I got the… this is for the epic first shot where I came in on this small speedboat holding a rope, like epic, like a real epic Survivor host.

"Just before I climbed up onto the big ship I just had a little wee off the side of the boat, just a little wee… so I climbed up the ladder, I was quite quick to sort of, put it back in, you know, because we were on telly, we were in a bit of a rush.

“I get up the ladder and I’m like, ‘Welcome to Survivor’ not knowing I’ve got a little wet patch going on.”

Hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary roared with laughter at Dommett’s tale, as he added it was a “nightmare in a camel trouser”.

“I had to re-shoot that little bit,” shared the TV star.

What is Survivor?

Survivor - which aired in the UK in 2001 and 2002 – sees contestants divided into two tribes as they go up against each other in a range of challenges.

According to promo material, viewers can expect “a compelling test of brains, brawn and betrayal as players compete to outwit, outplay and outlast their rivals” in a bid to win the show.

As the teams are whittled down through evictions at the tribal council, the tribes eventually merge with one lucky contestant walking away as the ultimate Survivor, with a cash prize of £100,000.

It launches on Saturday 28 October at 8.25pm on BBC One.
