Surfers held a solidarity paddle at California’s Santa Monica Beach on June 5 in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and protests being held across the United States.
The event was organised by the World Surf League and Black Girls Surf, according to reports.
In video filmed by Alpha & Omega Entertainment, hundreds of surfers take to the water before forming a heart-shaped circle on their boards.
“Our team joined together to provide live aerial views of the Solidarity in Surf Paddle Out in Santa Monica yesterday afternoon — a beautiful part of a worldwide demonstration in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement,” the company posted to Instagram.
