Supernatural star Jared Padalecki's TV comeback signs up Supergirl's Odette Annable
Supergirl actress Odette Annable will play Geri the barmaid in Walker opposite Jared Padalecki.
A reboot of the action series Walker, Texas Ranger starring Chuck Norris (1993-2001), this one finds Supernatural favourite Padalecki in the title role as widower Cordell Walker, who returns to his Austin home following two years of undercover work.

Via Entertainment Weekly, it's been revealed that Annable's character Geri is "an old friend of Walker and his late wife, Emily, who hasn't seen Walker since Emily's funeral.
"It's clear that she and Walker have a history – a friendship and a shared tragedy."
She's not the only newcomer to the cast sheet, either, as The 100's Lindsey Morgan and Pretty Little Liars actress Keegan Allen are also onboard.

Meanwhile, Padalecki recently admitted that Supernatural's series finale was his all-time favourite episode.
His co-star and onscreen brother Jensen Ackles added that it's "a fantastic way for the show to wrap up.
"The more that I thought about it, the more that I mulled over all the different possibilities of what could happen, and maybe what should happen, it's interesting to think that I kept coming back to what ended up happening," he said.
Walker premieres January 21, 2021 on The CW.
