'Super Senior' Veterans Join Graduation at Arkansas High School 66 Years After Missing Their Own

Four “super seniors” in Arkansas walked with the Springdale High School class of 2022 on May 21, after they missed their own graduation ceremony in 1956 in order to join the United States military.

The four men — Air Force veterans Carl Stults, Charles Leroy Moon, and Bob Self, and Army veteran Bobby Burke — were presented with their high school diplomas and celebrated alongside 484 graduates during Springdale High School’s commencement at the Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas, reports said.

Local reports said the men also became honorary graduates of the class of 2022. Credit: Springdale Public Schools via Storyful
