In a new announcement made by The Hollywood Reporter on August 20, fans of Suits learned some key news about the show's lead star, Patrick J. Adams. While the actor's fame is getting a resurgence with the USA Network drama being popular on Netflix, he's moving over to another TV franchise to star in a project that's already getting lots of buzz.
According to the outlet, Patrick is joining Michelle Pfeiffer in the upcoming Taylor Sheridan-created drama The Madison (previously titled 2024). The show is the next series to come from the Yellowstone franchise, and the news comes just months away from the original series' season 5 part 2 premiere on November 10. What's more, he'll be joining alongside Elle Chapman and Beau Garrett as the latest cast members announced for the project.
When news of Patrick's latest TV casting began to circulate on Instagram, fans couldn't believe one of their favorite stars was joining the juggernaut that is the Yellowstone universe.

For those curious for details about Patrick's role, Variety writes he's set to star as Russell McIntosh. According to the publication, Russell is "a young investment banker who has followed the life path set before him from the start." What's more, The Madison's premise involves a New York City family as they settle in the Madison River valley in Montana. People reports the show will feature a "heartfelt study of grief and human connection," which fits right in with the overall genre of all the shows within the Yellowstone universe.
It's also important to note that The Madison is the latest spinoff to come from the hit TV franchise. There have been three prequel shows that have aired in recent years: 1883, 1923 and Lawmen: Bass Reeves.
