SUDANESE PRIME MINISTER SURVIVES ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT

KHARTOUM, March 9 (Bernama) -- Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok on Monday escaped without injury after his convoy came under attack, Anadolu agency reported citing security sources.

A roadside bomb exploded as his convoy passed the Kober bridge, which connects the north of capital Khartoum to the city center, eyewitnesses said.

No casualties were reported, but some vehicles of the convoy were damaged.
