HBO dropped a new clip from “Succession” Season 3 on Tuesday, which picks up immediately after the events of the Season 2 finale. Right, this is the exact moment after Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) betrayed his media mogul father, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), and it’s as chaotic and messy as you’d imagine.

Watch the clip above, which was released Tuesday during WarnerMedia’s European HBO Max launch event. Also unveiled was the first footage from “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon,” the launch month for “Sex and the City” revival series “And Just Like That…” and a new teaser for John Cena’s “Peacemaker.”

Here’s the official description for the nine-episode third season of the Emmy-winning “Succession,” which debuts Oct. 17: “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season two, Logan Roy begins Season three in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”

“Succession” stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter, James Cromwell, Natalie Gold, Juliana Canfield, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin.

Additional Season 3 cast members include Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae, Adrien Brody, Hope Davis and Dasha Nekrasova.

During the Tuesday presentation, HBO revealed the HBO Max pricing for its initial European launch, which you can read more about here. The streaming service will debut Oct. 26 in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain and Andorra.

For what the company considers to be its initial European rollout, HBO Max is launching in 27 territories. The new countries slated for 2022 are Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The previously known 2022 launches are: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

HBO Max combines Warner Bros., HBO, DC and Cartoon Network with Max Originals. The upcoming launch will be the first time that’s all available in one place in Europe.

The HBO Go/Now (and in many ways, regular HBO) replacement first launched in the U.S. in May 2020. This June, HBO Max launched in 39 territories across Latin America and the Caribbean. That was its first expansion outside of the United States.

“Succession” Season 3 premieres Oct. 17 at 9/8c on HBO.
