Subang Jaya assemblyperson Michelle Ng's office has partnered with the QHC Medical Centre in USJ to provide Rapid Test Kits-Antigen (RTK-AG) Covid-19 tests for just RM70.

Ng said on Twitter that the deal is open for Subang Jaya residents and those who work or study there.

Those who want to get tested need to make an appointment by calling or sending a Whatsapp to 012-9120536.

Documents proving a connection to Subang Jaya must be presented before testing.

RTK-AG tests produce results within a short period of time, often in less then one hour, but it is less sensitive and more prone to false negatives compared to RT-PCR swab tests.

Ng first announced the RTK-AG for RM70 on Friday, and it was at that time only limited to residents and workers.

However, she announced that this would be expanded to students last night.

"My office is attuned to requests from students sitting for SPM or at the six higher education institutes in the Subang Jaya constituency who want to get screened as a safety precaution," she tweeted.

The DAP assemblyperson said this in response to Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob statement that students returning to campus or dormitories need not get screened for Covid-19 unless they have symptoms.

Bukit Gasing assemblyperson Rajiv Rishyakaran is also providing RTK-AG tests for RM70 and is expanding his programme to be carried out in a larger venue.

The Bukit Gasing programme is available for everyone.
