Sturgeon: PM would need Supreme Court to stop referendum

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has pledged to "proceed with the legislation that is necessary" to carry out a Scottish independence referendum, but insisted "it would only happen if it was passed by the Scottish parliament". If Boris Johnson tried to stop it, she added, he would need to go to the Supreme Court. The First Minister of Scotland said that it would be "absurd" for a UK prime minister to try to "overturn the democratic decision of the Scottish people". .
