Stunning Sunset Brings Pink Clouds, Rainbow, and Lightning to Colorado Sky
The last moments of a storm near Kirk, Colorado, brought pink clouds, lightning, and a rainbow to the evening sky on June 3.
Storm chaser Jennifer Walton posted the footage, calling it, “one of the most stunning finales to a storm chase I’ve seen.”
Walton told Storyful: “This is the last light on a previously tornado-warned storm just east of Kirk, Colorado. There is a sunset backlighting rain curtains, a rainbow and occasional lightning strikes, panning from south to north facing.”
The local National Weather Service forecasting station, NWS Goodland, posted about storms forming in eastern Colorado on the afternoon of June 3. Credit: Jennifer Walton via Storyful
