Students evacuate classroom as 6.1-magnitude earthquake shakes southern China

Students fled out of their classrooms as a 6.1-magnitude earthquake rocked Ya‘an city, Sichuan Province on June 1. Multiple CCTV clips capture the moment of the earthquake. Lushan Middle School students were in class when the earthquake struck. Teachers rapidly ask students to evacuate the classroom. Other clips show the ground shaking violently during the earthquake, parts of ceilings fell down and parents were seen running outdoors with their children. Sleeping dogs woke up in a panic and run away, fish tanks were also shaking violently. The video was provided by local media with permission.
