'Stronger together': Blinken on alliance with France
Blinken told Le Drian that "we are so much stronger and more effective when we're working together" to "meet the challenges of this moment."
The meeting builds on talks between U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 summit in Cornwall on June 12, which touched on the COVID pandemic and regional security.
Le Drian said Paris was like home for Blinken, who spent his middle school and high school years in the French capital, enabling him to become fluent in French.
