'Strictly' fans think Adam Peaty's tight jeans were to thank for highest Samba score of series
Adam Peaty has earned the highest Samba score of Strictly Come Dancing 2021 - but viewers suspect the judges were distracted from his moves by his tight jeans.
The Olympic swimmer took on the Samba this week with partner Katya Jones and stepped out onto the dancefloor in skin-tight jeans to perform a hip-wiggling routine.

He scored a total of 29 points from the judges, the highest for the style of dance this series, but many surprised viewers argued that there had been better routines early on from Nina Wadia, Judi Love and from Ugo Monye.

One person tweeted: "Adam wearing tight jeans & moving his hips like that to distract us from the actual dance."
Someone else added: "Highest samba score??? Higher than judis or ninas which CHANGED MY LIFE?!!? Sorry adam and katya besties but no."
Another viewer wrote: "Highest samba score of this series!?! What were they doing staring at Adam's jeans? It wasn't bad, just wasn't the best."

During the judging, Anton Du Beke said: "The Samba is kind of ridiculous. But this was amazing and I don't know why. There was some of it that made me go a bit twitchy, but there was a lot I liked."
Craig Revel Horwood quipped that it "made me go a bit twitchy, too", while Motsi Mabuse said: "I wouldn't have missed those hips."
One distracted viewer tweeted: "Those jeans on Adam Peaty. Too much. Was he dancing? I can’t remember."
Someone else wrote: "I didn’t think Adam was particularly good, I think he just distracted people with the jeans."
Another fan commented: "Once again, I was watching a different Adam Peaty dance to the judges. They were hypnotised by the jeans, I swear."

Last week, the couple caused controversy with their Argentine Tango when they appeared to come close to kissing at the end of the routine.
Peaty has strongly denied that it was anything other than being in character for the dance and warned about the "real life consequences" of speculating about it.
One viewer this weekend tweeted: "I see you Adam Peaty, wearing those jeans to deflect us from that almost kiss of last week…"
