Streets Deserted After Coronavirus Lockdown Takes Effect in Zhengzhou, China

Streets were deserted in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou on May 4 after the local government imposed restrictions on movement and ordered mass COVID-19 testing to contain an outbreak of coronavirus.

A Weibo post from city authorities said the restrictions would be in place between May 4 and May 10. The post also ordered mandatory working from home where possible and online learning for kindergartens and schools.
