Streetlight Explodes, Power Goes Out in Port Canaveral During Tropical Storm Nicole

Tropical Storm Nicole caused a streetlight to explode and power to go out in Port Canaveral, in Brevard County, Florida, on Thursday, November 10, as the National Weather Service reported winds of 71 mph in the area.

Footage posted to Twitter by Josh Rinehart shows a streetlight sparking before all the lights around it go out, as strong winds blow.

Power outages affected more than 135,000 people in Brevard County and over 385,000 people in Florida at large on November 10.

The storm made landfall as a hurricane in the early hours of November 10, before being downgraded to a tropical storm.
