Streets flooded in parts of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico after heavy rain triggered severe flooding overnight into Monday, September 5, officials said.

Footage posted by Twitter user @josembm shows flooding in Villas del Poniente on Sunday night.

The Mexican National Meteorological Service forecasted more heavy rain in the area on Monday afternoon, while parts of northwest Mexico were under tropical storm watch. Credit: @josembm via Storyful
