Stranded Truck Drivers Blare Their Horns at Port of Dover

Truck drivers stranded in gridlocked traffic in the Port of Dover, England, blasted their horns on Wednesday, December 23.

Many have been stranded at the port town since Sunday, when the border with France was closed due to fears over a new coronavirus strain.

The French government agreed to ease its travel ban from Wednesday, but travellers are required to have had a negative COVID-19 test.

Kent Online reported that a huge pop-up testing site had been readied at Manston Airport, but said there were no facilities at Dover, which remained “completely gridlocked.”
