Storm Iota Flooding Damages Bridges, Cuts Off Various Honduran Communities

Multiple bridges and highways were damaged in western Honduras in the wake of Tropical Storm Iota. Footage posted November 19 shows the aftermath of the storm, which left several communities disconnected.

The National Police of Honduras published this footage showing the Tencoa Bridge collapse and a submerged highway, which spans from San Pedro Sula to Puerto Cortés. The Tencoa Bridge’s collapse cut off access between nine communities, officials said.
