Storm Floods Roads in North Carolina

Heavy thunderstorms across the southeastern US caused severe flooding in North Carolina on Thursday, February 6, local media reported.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flash flood warning for Burke County and the surrounding area, in effect until 3.15 pm on Thursday. Local schools closed early due to flood concerns, Burke County officials said.
