Storm Expected to Dump Over 3 Feet of Snow in Northern California Mountains

The UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab said on February 23 that it expected to see around three to four feet of additional snow in Soda Springs, California, by Saturday, February 25.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning in the region and warned of “very difficult to impossible” travel conditions.

Footage posted to Twitter shows piles of snow as snowflakes continue to descend on the region. The lab said it had seen 16.5 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. Credit: UC Berkeley CSSL via Storyful
