Lightning flashed through the night sky in Lapeer, Michigan, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of scattered thunderstorms passing through the Detroit region on Thursday, August 4.

This footage uploaded to Twitter by local nature photographer Devin R Baker shows lightning brightening up the night sky. Baker said in the caption, “Abundant amount of lightning in the sky in Lapeer.”
