Storm Brendan Pummels Dublin Coast

Storm Brendan brought heavy rain, strong winds, and surging seas to communities along the coasts of Ireland and Great Britain on January 13.

Ireland’s meteorological service, Met Eireann, reported storm-force wind gusts at a weather station on the south coast, and more than 16 mm of rainfall at a weather station on the southwest coast.

The Met Office issued a yellow wind warning across Northern Ireland. Authorities reported widespread power outages.
