"So I don't mind them (The Federal Reserve) saying something about maybe thinking about tapering in response to the strong, strong inflation numbers that we're seeing," said Johnson. "But they want to be very careful that they don't imply that Federal Reserve policy is now changing towards restraint."

If the Fed doesn't rock the boat, then Johnson expects large-cap tech names like Facebook, Amazon and Google parent Alphabet to lead the market higher in the second-half of the year.
