Steven Ma denies making TVB comeback

26 Oct – Steven Ma has recently dismissed the idea that he is making a TVB comeback, after being seen with top TVB executives.

As reported on Mingpao, last weekend, the actor shared several photos of him having a meal at a Japanese restaurant with TVB Executive Virginia Lok, followed by a meeting with TVB producer Leung Choi Yuen. The meetings sparked speculations that Steven was in talks to star in a new series, three years since filming his last drama "Deep in the Realm of Conscience".

However, when asked about the possibility of his return to television, Steven laughed and said that he doesn't have the time to do dramas what with his busy schedule working on his new stage play while taking a new college course at the same time.

"Unless [TVB Executive] Catherine Tsang tells me that I have to come back, I don't think I will be able to shoot another TV series for the next three years. I hope I will be able to do so in the future," he said.

The actor explained that he is still in touch with Lok and would usually meet up with the TVB Executive for dinners during the weekdays. Meanwhile, the meeting with Leung was nothing more than a chance encounter at a restaurant.
