After's Shane Paul McGhie is saying goodbye to his character Landon. In an emotional post, he revealed that he will not be returning for the film series' upcoming sequels.

On Instagram, Shane revealed that despite the series continuing on with two upcoming sequels, he will not be returning. His last appearance will be in After We Collided, which is set to be released in the United States on October 23.

"After family, I've been seeing your comments and I want to let you all know what's going on as best as I can. It is with a heavy hart that I am announcing I will not be filming in Bulgaria. We could not come to an agreement and I had to make a really tough call. I had to stand up for me, the way Landon would," he wrote. "I am so grateful to you all for welcoming me into the After family and supporting me along this incredible journey."

"For me, Landon represents hope in humanity and his relationship with Tessa is the epitome of an unconditional friendship that we all strive for, but only the luckiest of us have in our own lives. He's taught me so much and embodying him is an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life," he continued.

He also ended his post by encouraging the fans to accept his replacement with open arms.

"I know the feeling of stepping into something new. How a welcoming hand goes a long way. So, please welcome the actor who replaces me and treat him with the respect and love you've been giving me since the first day I was brought on," Shane wrote.

There's no word on who will be replacing Shane in the new sequel, however filming has already begun according to director Castille Landon's recent tweets, so we should find out soon enough.
