You star Penn Badgley and wife Domino Kirke are proud new parents after welcoming their first child together last month. Domino first announced they were expecting a baby back in February while sadly revealing she'd previously had two miscarriages.

On Sunday evening, she told her Instagram followers that she'd given birth to a baby boy in August and was 40 days postpartum. Alongside a photo of the placenta printed on paper, she wrote: "His heart shaped home ❣️ #40dayspostpartum."

She also shared a picture of her in bed with her little one wrapped in a blanket and their pet dog adorably sandwiched between them.

Penn, 33, and Domino, 36, started dating in 2014 and tied the knot in February 2017 in front of close friends and family at a New York courthouse.

Domino is a doula, meaning she's a trained companion - though not a healthcare professional - who supports another individual through childbirth, miscarriage, induced abortion or stillbirth. She is also already a mum to son Cassius Riley, born in 2009.

Opening up about her miscarriages and pregnancy journey earlier this year, Domino wrote on Instagram, "On the road again... pregnancy after loss is [a] whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience."

She continued: "When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I had no community. I dove in blissfully unaware about birth and its mysteries. Now, with 10 years worth of experience to pull from, I treasure my birth community and the knowledge I have. You’re already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we’ve never had to, little one. Thank you."

Congratulations on your bundle of joy, Domino and Penn.
