Stampeding Cows Take Over Highway in Northwest Indiana

A herd of cattle took over part of US Highway 35 in LaPorte County, Indiana, on February 6, stampeding southward in the northbound lanes of the roadway.

According to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, the cows escaped from a nearby farm and ran onto the highway.

A number of volunteer firefighters, onlookers, and an off-duty officer who happened to be nearby began corralling the cattle, and the cows were returned to their home, according to reports.
