KUALA LUMPUR, August 25 — A man has been arrested in Long Beach, California, United States, after he went door-to-door asking for Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore’s home address.

According to Variety, Southampton chief of police James Kiernan said the man was identified as Chad Busto when he was brought in to the Southampton Town Police Headquarters for arrest processing.

After being detained temporarily on August 23, Busto was released as police investigation continues.

According to New York Post, Busto was detained shortly after landing on the steps of Barrymore’s house.

The Charlie’s Angels’ star was not home at that time.

Busto's arrest came just days after he invaded an event at a performing art centre in New York where Barrymore was having an interview session with musician and actor Reneé Rapp.

In a circulating video shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Busto was seen trying to approach Barrymore on stage as he yelled out Barrymore’s name.

Barrymore, who was shocked, responded with ‘Oh my god, yes? Hi’ before being escorted off stage by Rapp.

"I’m Chad Michael Busto, you know who I am.

"I need to see you at some point while I’m here in New York,” Busto said before being escorted out by security.

Barrymore and Rapp continued their session shortly after.
