Spring Snow Hits New York State

A cold snap was forecast to drop several inches of snow on parts of New York and Pennsylvania on April 1.

This footage, by Ron Murphy, shows snow falling and sticking to trees. Murphy said the footage was filmed in Apalachin, New York, where one inch of snow was forecast.

The National Weather Service said the heaviest snowfall would occur early on Thursday, turning to lake-effect snow in the afternoon.
