Katie Austin is sharing how she met her match!
On Monday, the Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit model, 30, posted a video on Instagram documenting her and fiancé Lane Armstrong's journey to love after first connecting on the dating app The League.
According to The League, the pair both joined the app — a dating platform for career-oriented singles — just days apart from each other in September 2020. Armstrong had 13 other matches before meeting Austin, while the fitness influencer had 60 matches.
The two kicked things off by exchanging a few messages before swapping phone numbers. They began dating, and by April 2023, they were celebrating their engagement.
The pair is The League's first publicly shared celebrity couple success story. According to The New York Times wedding database, The League is 1,082 times more efficient than the leading dating app.
“Katie and Lane are a true embodiment of a League power couple. It’s always been our mission to bring together goal-oriented, highly ambitious individuals who know what they want in a partner and refuse to settle, and we couldn’t be happier to be the starting point of their love story,” Amanda Bradford, founder and CEO of The League tells PEOPLE.
“I created The League to help people find the love of their life, and the joy I feel when hearing these success stories is second to none, and makes all the hard work worth it," she adds.
In Austin's Instagram video, which features a montage of highlights from her relationship with Armstrong, she opened up about why her fiancé is perfect for her. "I love that we have the same values, like life, big picture and what we see in our future," she said.

Armstrong also shared what he admires about Austin, who is the daughter of celebrity fitness instructor Denise Austin. "You work so hard at everything you do. I see it every day, and your work ethic and drive make me want to work hard myself," he said.
Katie captioned the video, "It’s crazy to think I’m marrying the love of my life in 3 months all thanks to @theleague."
Katie announced their engagement news on Instagram at the time, sharing a series of photos from Armstrong's sunset beach proposal. "YES YES YES YES X 10000 MILLION YES!!!!! I can’t wait to be your WIFE ❤️❤️❤️," she captioned the post.
In additional posts on her Instagram Story, she shared the details of how her fiancé pulled off the big surprise. The couple had taken a trip to Laguna Beach, California, seemingly to visit Armstrong's high school friend.

However, Armstrong told Katie that his friend's flight had been delayed and suggested they take a walk. "Minutes later we were engaged 😭😭😭😭," she captioned a photo of her oval-shaped diamond ring.
To set the romantic proposal scene, Armstrong had placed a picnic blanket on the sand and decorated with 24 dozen white roses. He also brought along two bottles of rosé from "our 2 favorite trips we've ever taken," Katie explained in another photo caption.
Armstrong later surprised Katie with a dinner at Nobu with her family and close friends to celebrate.
In a post on her Instagram grid after the engagement, she described it as "the happiest weekend of my life."
"We feel so loved and celebrated. I cannot believe the amount of effort my FIANCÉ put into this weekend, planned all my favorite things to do," she wrote in the caption.
"From friends flying in, buying me different white fits, decorating the house — I couldn't feel luckier. Probably won't ever get over it. So overjoyed for this next chapter in our lives!!!! Thank you to everyone who's reached out and sent us sweet messages, we love you❤️❤️."
