Spanish PM visits Borodyanka to see damage

STORY: Residents and military personnel shared their experiences of what happened after Russian tanks first showed up in early March.

Eyewitnesses told the Spanish Prime Minister that 41 bodies were found in one building, but they were unable to recover them as they were still being shelled by the Russians, others told Sanchez. Most of the townspeople who could leave did, one woman eyewitness who stayed told Sanchez that the Russians quizzed her about how she felt about them.

Numerous European leaders have travelled to Ukraine since Russia's invasion to show support for its president and people, more especially since Russia pulled back its forces from northern Ukraine. Russia calls its actions in Ukraine a "special operation".
