SpaceX Watchers Witness Meteor Fly Over North Carolina Coastline

A meteor was captured blazing across the sky in Oak Island, North Carolina, on November 10, as residents watched the launch of a SpaceX rocket.

The “bright fireball” was confirmed by NASA Meteor Watch, moving northwest at 33,000 miles per hour and surviving only 3.5 seconds before disintegrating 28 miles above Macclesfield, North Carolina. The meteor was seen minutes after the Crew-3 Falcon 9 rocket launched four astronauts from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station.
