SpaceX Rocket Launch Seen From Plane Window

A passenger aboard a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Indianapolis, Indiana, captured the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch from his plane window on April 30.

Troy Desmond, who goes by the Twitter handle @PursuingFi, recorded this footage showing a bright orange ball rising into the sky. He explained on Twitter that his flight was delayed by two hours, so he was happy “something good came out” of it.

According to SpaceX, the Falcon Heavy deployed three satellites, the “ViaSat-3 Americas, Astranis’s first MicroGEO satellite, and Gravity Space’s GS-1 satellite to a geostationary orbit.” Credit: @PursuingFi via Storyful
