New South Wales police officers and Rural Fire Service volunteers lined a Sydney highway on May 2 in tribute to constable Glen Humphris as his body was transported from Victoria to Newcastle after he was killed while on duty.
This video shows the officers assembled at night on the M7 motorway at Eastern Creek as Humphris, who had been serving with Victoria Police, was carried to his final resting place in New South Wales.
Victorian police had escorted his body to the border with New South Wales on Saturday before officers from the neighbouring state took over the journey, according to reports.
Humphris was one of four officers killed in the Melbourne suburb of Kew on April 22, when a truck crashed into patrol cars after police intercepted a Porsche on the Eastern Freeway. The truck driver has been charged with four counts of culpable driving over the incident. Credit: NSW Rural Fire Service via Storyful
