Kate Middleton is on the road to recovery after her scheduled abdominal surgery, and sources are praising her resilience. An insider close to the Royals opened up about her health status with People, saying, "It does sound serious with the length of time [she’s taking]. But she is in great hands and will have lots of care and support at home and is a fit young woman." They added, "I am sure she will bounce back."

Per People, the Princess of Wales underwent her surgery at the private London Clinic on January 16 and was announced by Kensington Palace the day after. The statement said that Kate would be hospitalized for "ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery" and that she would return to her public duties after Easter.

"It is sensible to take the time," the source close to the royal household added. "That is a great example to the rest of us, as you're often told to get back to work as soon as possible, which can be damaging. It is good for all of us to see her taking the time, recovering properly and then coming back. We can all learn from that."

An anonymous source who was hospitalized in London Clinic also told People that Kate is in good hands under their care.

"The physical therapists are amazing, helping you recover and get back on your feet. After abdominal surgery, you need a lot of patience, and it’s a bit scary at first," the source, who was treated at the London Clinic in June 2o23, told the outlet.

Prince William and Kate were originally scheduled to travel for some international trips, but he reportedly shifted his schedule to support his wife during her surgery. On January 19, it was reported that her kids hadn't seen her following the procedure.
