Sources Close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Say They're "Embarking on a Total System Reboot"
"They have a constitutional inability to look in the rear view."
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren't looking back at their so-called failures — reports of their flop era at Netflix were, after all, blown out of proportion — and instead, they're focusing on what sources are calling a "total system reboot." Friends of the Sussexes spoke to People, saying that Meghan and Harry are forging ahead and looking to the future instead of dwelling on what's already behind them.
"What we’re seeing — and will see more of I think — is Heghan 2.0. Part Deux. They know of their supposed failures and how it’s viewed, but they have almost gone more tech than Hollywood. Fail big and all that," a source told the publication. "They have swapped in and out all sorts of projects and people and are embarking on a total system reboot."
What, exactly, are they brushing off? Royal drama, presumably, that came after the publication of Harry's memoir, Spare, for example. Plus, rumored feuds between the Sussexes and their in-laws across the pond, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William.
“They have a constitutional inability to look in the rear view — why should they? They are all about the future,” the source added.

People adds that Harry and Meghan have plenty to keep themselves busy. In addition to being parents, the two have their Archewell business verticals, Archewell Productions and Archewell Audio. There have been obstacles, of course. The Sussexes made headlines when they ended their relationship with Spotify after just one season of Meghan's podcast, Archetypes. As for Netflix, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Sussexes were giving nothing but "low content output" on Netflix, even though they released their docu-series, Harry and Meghan, and two other series: Heart of Invictus and Live to Lead.
Sources previously told People that Harry and Meghan stepped away from England and their positions as senior royals because it "wasn’t a world they wanted for their family."
"Everything else flows from that, for whatever time period it takes," a royal insider said of their plans post-Spotify and beyond.
A media insider also noted that their positions as royals had something to do with oversold expectations for their media partners.
"The royal element, and the in some ways the drama around them, inflated the price, deals, and expectations," they said back in August.
"The attention, commotion, and hubbub was wrapped up in the fact that Harry is a royal, and people threw money at them with hopes and dreams that it would translate into success," the source continued. "But I think it’s been a rude awakening for everyone — it’s like they built a house with no foundation."
