Sofyank to film VFX video with Chris Hemsworth and Sam Hargrave
6 Jun – After previously teasing another VFX project with international stars, digital creator Mohamad Sofian finally revealed the two Hollywood stars he will be working with this time.
On 6 June, the social media influencer, known online by the name Sofyank, posted two photos, including one of him holding a "confidential" file for Netflix's "Extraction 2", and a side-by-side photos of actor Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave, the latter who helmed the first and upcoming sequel.
He wrote, "Bismillah, the answer for that day's video is Chris! God willing, if everything goes well, I will shoot a video effect together with @chrishemsworthand and @samhargrave. This time I am very nervous because I am going to shoot with both of them at once. Pray that I don't stutter and that the shooting goes smoothly."
He also posted a supposed handwritten message by commando Tyler Rake (played by Hemsworth), which revealed that the shoot will take place on 4 to 6 June in Manila, Philippines.
"Extraction 2" sees Hemsworth returning as the aforementioned military man with a new mission - saving the imprisoned family of a ruthless gangster. The movie will premiere on Netflix on 16 June.
Meanwhile, Sofyank's most recent Hollywood stars-related project was with Paul Rudd, to promote Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania".
