Snowmelt Brings Flooding to Northern Utah

Floodwater rushed through parts of northern Utah on Monday, May 1, as the state braced for runoff from record winter snowfall in the mountains.

Footage captured by Twitter user @wasatch_ram shows risen water levels at the East Canyon Creek above Jeremy Ranch.

The National Weather Service said warming temperatures would bring increasing snowmelt and the potential for significant river rises. The service issued a river flood watch for the portion of East Canyon Creek near Jeremy Ranch, downstream to East Canyon Reservoir, among many other areas. Credit: @wasatch_ram via Storyful
