Snow Covers Galveston Beach as Winter Storm Brings Record Low Temperatures to Texas

Galveston Beach on Texas’ southern coast was covered in snow on February 15 as a winter storm brought wintry conditions and record cold temperatures to the state.

Record cold temperatures were expected across southeast Texas on the evening of February 15. The National Weather Service said it would be the coldest night across the Houston area in more than 30 years, describing the conditions as “historically low” and “dangerously cold”.
