Snow Blower Clears Highway in Washington Ahead of Forecast Heavy Snow

The Washington State Department of Transportation said it was clearing the US 2 highway at Stevens Pass ahead of further “heavy snowfall” on February 22.

Local media reported shortly after this video was posted that the road was closed due to a snow slide covering the area in debris.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the area on February 22, warning that between 10 and 20 inches of snow could “contribute to the avalanche danger”. The warning was due to remain in effect until February 23. Credit: Washington State DOT via Storyful
