Snow Blankets Western Washington

Rain turned to snow in some parts of western Washington on Friday, January 7, as a storm brought gusty winds and the potential for landslides, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video posted to Twitter by @JeremyB2323 shows snow falling on Friday night in the town of Sultan, northeast of Seattle, he said.

The NWS said the risk for landslides would persist into Saturday due to wet soil from rain and melting snow. Credit: @JeremyB2323 via Storyful
