SneakerLAH 2023 returns with new concert segment ConcertLAH this October23
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 — Malaysia’s top sneaker convention is back bigger than ever, this time with a concert added to the mix.
SnearkerLAH 2023 will take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) on October 7 to 8 from 12pm to 10pm.
This year’s convention will be taken to the next level with a collaboration with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5| Z Fold 5.
This will allow sneakerheads to show their passion for the hobby online with better pictures and faster upload times.
The convention will feature popular brands like ASICS, Skechers, Crossover, Futuremade, and Nerd Unit.
Over 60 vendors and resellers will be selling the hottest, most sought-after sneakers and streetwear items now with vintage collectables and the Vintage Corner.
This year special guests will include Brendan Dunne, Matt Welty, and Trinidad James from Complex’s weekly sneaker talk show Full Size Run.
Both Dunne and Welty are writers and hosts for Complex as well.
Complex is an American entertainment pop culture magazine for youths, who are interested in streetwear and sneakers.
Iconic Dutch streetwear brand Patta will be showcasing the Patta World Tour with the Patta For Life documentary with an appearance from its founder, Edson Sabajo.
Attendees can also look forward to the Rare Pairs exhibition from renowned local collector B53, showcasing the world’s rarest sneakers up close.
Finally, SneakerLAH is introducing a new music segment ConcertLAH, held in a hall right next to the convention at 8pm.
The lineup this year will feature South Korean songstress Lee Hi, Singaporean rapper Alyph, Canadian Malaysian R&B singer Ethan Low, and local rap group ForceParkBois.
James from Full Size Run will also hit the stage as a guest performer with Dan $hiv as emcee for both days.
“Each year we strive to improve the SneakerLAH experience,” SneakerLAH founder Bryan Chin said in a statement.
“With our new home at Mitec, we have a lot of room for growth which is why we are introducing the Vintage Corner and ConcertLAH segments this year. We hope to attract new audiences while making SneakerLAH bigger and better for our existing community.”
General sales for SneakerLAH 2023 are priced at RM37.50 with VIP tickets priced at RM100.
VIP ticketholders for SneakerLAH will be able to enter the event two hours earlier at 10am.
Tickets for ConcertLAH 2023 are priced from RM298 to RM328, with VIP tickets priced at RM410.
VIP ticketholders for ConcertLAH will have access to the front row and get the same benefits as SneakerLAH ticketholders.
Ticket sales for both events will go live at 11am on September 6 (Wednesday) at www.sneakerlah.com.
