The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) in Western Australia issued an emergency warning after a bushfire broke out in Wooroloo, east of Perth, on February 1.
This footage, recorded by Tony Smith, shows large clouds of smoke visible from Perth city.
Local news said at least one home was destroyed. The DFES said in their warning that for people east of Bailup Road and west of Toodyay Road it was too late to leave. Others were advised to leave, taking note of road closures. Credit: Tony Smith via Storyful
