Smoke Seen Over Edmonton as Wildfires Cause Thousands to Evacuate in Alberta

Multiple wildfires burning in Alberta, Canada, prompted the evacuation of thousands of people on Friday, May 5.

The number of evacuees could exceed 20,000 people, according to CBC News.

Hot and dry conditions were contributing to the wildfire spread, Alberta Wildfire said.
