No passengers or flight crew members were killed in the incident, the airline said. In a Twitter post the airport announced that operations at Jorge Chavez would be suspended until the afternoon of Saturday, November 19.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear, but Jorge Chavez International Airport said they were “conducting all the necessary investigations”.
