Police in the Polish city of Lublin responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on August 31 only to find that the driver had failed to use the parking brake, and the car had rolled down the street and crashed on its own.
According to Lublin Police, a 66-year-old woman withdrawing money from an ATM in Bełżyce called police to report that her vehicle, which she had parked on the street, had been stolen and that the perpetrators had abandoned it, damaged, down the road.
This footage shows the vehicle slowly rolling down the road before crashing into a bollard on the sidewalk. Police sent an investigative unit and a service dog to the scene but, after reviewing footage of the incident, realized that the driver had neglected to apply the parking brake and that no one had attempted to steal the vehicle.
