What is it?

Slimming masks originated as a Korean beauty trend as an alternative to cosmetic surgery to lift and sculpt the jawline. The V-Line Lifting Mask by Swissökolab is a cross between a face mask and a chin strap that contains aloe vera extract and hyaluronic acid to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles while tightening and defining the jawline. These "double chin reducers" are to be applied after you've cleansed your skin and worn for 25 to 30 minutes - although some customers say they've worn them for longer.

"I am on my third box of V-Line Lifting Masks and I'm telling you it's really worth it. Im going back to work and it's been a month of preparation since I gained weight working from home. [I was] a bit hesitant at first, after a thorough search I found this brand," one shopper wrote. "I used it as instructed and I can see and feel changes before I finished the first box."

Although shoppers notice positive results, many are quick to point out that the results aren't permanent.

"Amazing! It's so comfortable to leave on my face and there's no fragrance to annoy me," another wrote. "I simply studied or slept while having it on and took it off after a few hours. The difference is amazing! I mean your chin goes back to normal after five or six hours so it would be good to wear this right before you going out like makeup. I wouldn't know about it being a 'treatment' though."

Verdict

If you're looking for a way to improve your jawline without going the route of a more permanent solution like a neck lift or non-invasive cosmetic procedures like Kybella, these easy-to-use chin masks might be worth a try.

At only $19 per box, the investment is low - but the rewards of feeling more confident with your appearance could be worth it!
