Sledder Flies Down Snowed-Over Steps of Central Park Landmark

New Yorkers were out enjoying the snow on February 2, after a nor’easter dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of New York City.

This footage, by Jeremy Wilcox, shows a person sledding down the steps at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, which was covered in nearly 1.5 feet of snow by February 3, according to the National Weather Service.

Local news reports said the storm’s snowfall tied for 15th deepest in the city’s history. Credit: Jeremy Wilcox/Custom NYC Tours via Storyful
