Sky is launching TWO new channels called Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature, so expect to see plenty more of Sir David Attenborough narrating beautiful animals, while interspersed with warnings about the impending doom of climate change.

The channels, which launch in spring 2020, will include HBO, Showtime and Sky original documentaries including pharmaceutical scandal Bitter Pill: Primodos, Tiger Woods: The Comeback on his big golfing, erm, comeback and the McMillions HBO series, produced by Mark Wahlberg.

This one covers the fascinating story of a security guard who rigged the McDonald's Monopoly game for a decade, using a vast network to steal millions in the process. And yes, that's the one Ben Affleck and Matt Damon intended to make a movie about, although that might have been scuppered by Disney purchasing Fox.

Sky Documentaries will also include The Kingmaker directed by Lauren Greenfield, along with an extensive on demand library of documentaries including What's My Name: Muhammad Ali and Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind.

Meanwhile, Sky Nature includes Sky's existing Attenborough collection, along with newbies, such as Extreme Animals: One Wild Day and Extreme Animals: Life's First Steps.

Amazing Animal Friends covers the most surprising animal friends around the globe – including a duck and a Labrador, a rhino and a lamb and an elephant that thinks it's a buffalo.

This basically sounds like a compilation of the viral animal clips we watch on Facebook. And we're into it.

Finally, Wild Tales from the Farm brings the grand style of nature documentaries into farmers' fields, as Downton Abbey and Paddington's Hugh Bonneville narrates the lives of livestock across the year.

The news comes as the Sky Comedy channel launches tonight (January 28).

You can watch all these new Sky channels using the NOW TV Entertainment pass or by signing up to a Sky subscription. The channels will be available to existing customers free of charge.
