Siti Nurhaliza applauded for rendition of "Munbe Vaa" at AR Rahman's concert

30 Jan – Siti Nurhaliza recently received a standing ovation after performing a classic Tamil song at AR Rahman's concert in Malaysia.

The songstress, who was invited to perform at the Oscar-winning composer's show in Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil on 23 January, was applauded by many for her performance of "Munbe Vaa", with many taking to social media to express their awe with the singer.

One netizen posted, "Datuk Siti Nurhaliza singing Munbe Vaa was the highlight of the entire concert. What a proud moment for Malaysians."

Another posted an old article questioning Siti's ability to sustain her popularity, and wrote, "They questioned this back in 2020. It's 2023 and she stole the concert by singing Munbe Vaa. She's a diva till date for a reason."

Meanwhile others, especially Indian fans, admitted that Siti's performance was one of the best part of the entire show.

Speaking about the experience, Siti stated that it was an honour and a dream come true to perform with Rahman.

"Thank you to all the audiences at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil who gave me a lot of support from the moment I sang to the end of the Munbe Vaa song. You are the best."

The singer shared a video of her performance on Instagram.
